Yet another Season of Singapore Idol. Which song would hit the auditions' tables this year? Which type of freaks would we see this year? I got this feeling that someone WILL sing [Viva La Vida] and totally screw the song's tempo and everything else. Just be prepared. LOL

For me, I had this delimma of trying out and not. Argh. Should I join "for fun" or rather my singing talent is to be uncovered in this season of Idol? Seriously I don't know. Must prepare this and that....2 songs hmm....we'll see

With the good news of the world's economy recovering by the end of the 3rd quarter, the Swine Virus hits the world unprepared and surprised. Spreaded from Mexico, with just a mere 1 day, this virus strain has spreaded all the way to Sichuan, China Mainland.

With the Chinese media hiding their truth from the world, how can we really fight off this crisis that's worse than Bird Flu prepared? Hasn't the Melamine's Case caused a panic in Food's Health Issue? With knowledge of this strain of virus spreading to unexpected countries, what's our government doing? Doing health checks & monitoring on Europens and Mexicans? What about our Asians? How can they be sure that the other foregin visitors from Asia is totally safe? Does'nt mean that we must ONLY take precaution at places where there's cases on it. Learn from Hong Kong. At least they know that their country took a big hit from 03's Bird Flu and is not overlooking any minor details of any cases of infection FROM ANYONE. It's time to learn from them....dear SG

Trust me, by the end of this week, new areas of Infection case will arise in Asia. Considering the fact that the Chinese pandemic control agency is not really as efficent as others. So spreading to other Asian countries, well....is common. Just hope our government will take REALTIME MEASURES on this. Hope it's not too late by then, if not I'll be watching "I am Legend" LIVE

It's Friday and hang out to catch FAst & Furious 4. Expect it to be much nicer than Tokyo Drift since Van Disel is back with his cool and stunts.No. The show turns out to be those typical car racing, weeds n chicks revenge story plot who just doesnt give the auidence a much higher climax than they deserve. So would rate 6 out of 10.

After the show, passby FairPrice Xtra and say 2 guys holding down 1 guy. Three things come to my mind for why that guy deserves that:

- Fighting (nah)
- Molester?
- Thief?

Watever the reason, Singaporeans crowded and what's next is SO predictable that I guess u would know it. *snap snap*

Countdown to reopening of school

Yes it's just a mere few days away from the reopening of school and the thing is that....I don't know my class! The 'shitty' feeling is what I get upon not knowing my class for the new Year! But fear not, I checked yandao.com and there's no update that could enable me to check my new class. Damn! The next hope and the last was myrp.net If that does'nt work, I'm not sure what's next. So I tried. Thankfully I can enter the the main page, but still the thing is I must enter LEO to check my class. So I try, no VPN = no access. Arghh! Install VPN try again...if my rp password is erased...then it's gg for me. Pray.....*cross-finger*........and wheeeeeeeeeeee got in! Finally knew what class I'm in.

OK, the last thing that least trouble me was that I can't use my own laptop at the start of sch SINCE it's still under repairs. Hope it can make it in time *cross-finger*

Dam laptop, spoilt again. With no other choice, my dad turned to my "ancient" CPU that's been left there for ages. 1st reaction I got was: "Ok...why would u bother to fix up such an old com?"

Best reply for the day: " I don't wanna see u infront of the laptop, I rather see u infront of this big bulky monitor" Nothing to say...oh ya he add-on: "U can use it for games, downloads, songs, shows whatever I don't care. As long as u don't touch that laptop of yours. I'll stop my nags"

After few hours of waiting(which I don't even care whether there's a com for me to use nowadays), finally got it working lol and....no sound! WHAT? Nvm....check...and check...no sound device found. Great... no Heroes, Lost, Smallville etc...Damn.

Got to carry bak that bulky shit to the servicer which is way better that the 1st floor one. Conman is the word I would describe that bastard-run shop. Tried to throw in mew hardwares and claims that my old CPU is unworkable since everying and anything in the metal casing has fail running! Wat are u thinking? I'm not that dumb to give u $180 for just a change of new stuff which I don't even need in the first place! Damn it! This happen twice, the 1st happen when my laptop spoil for the 1st time. Same reason, same old pricing. Con-man

The overall session lasted for 5 hours and everyone had fun guess, laughing and complaining about the boringness of the elements of some games...haha

Excited, went to YS hse to give it a try. The setup map of 2-player variant:

Went for the 2nd round since I lost the 1st, I controlled his Capital!! Wahhaa he can't win without it. YAY

One fatal mistake I made which made him re-capture his capital. Sian...should have place all my reinforcements at Russia and block off his attacks. Damn

Went to RP wif YS for laptop config, his time round I rmb my charger. Had to wait a whole 4 1/2 hours for my laptop to be done. PLayed Xbox, Wii and to my surprise...RP finally imported new boardgames!! wheeeeeeeeeeee

This cheers me up for the whole afternoon.

Btw I have this urge of getting the new edition of Risk, but darn it. Seems to cost way more than I expected. gt to go toys 'r us & see for myself then.

Since the Board Games Club @ NP open to public to enjoy, we same trio went there for some afternoon fun.

Tried 2 new games:

both are rather card game based but wif lots of fun & little bits of strategy involved.

Loot is as the title state, loot the merchants with of course your pirates ships. Player with the highest gold loot wins the game.

Turn the tide on the other hand, is a game of sea levels and storms. Every player starts wif a number of lives based on your cards which states how many lives u have initally. a player lose 1 live if he/she had the highest tide on that round. Pretty fun and easy to understand. Would recommend it to group of frends.

After constant plays of Citadels & Cities n Knights, we decided to try on new boardgames to broaden our choices of boardgames.

1st up is....KILL DOCTOR LUCKY!

A strategy game which involves co-operation between players to stop another player from killing Doc.Lucky by using various weapons and moving around the mansion itself.

Interaction: 3/5

Fun Factor: 4/5

Ease of Understanding: 4/5
Duration: 45mins - 1 1/2 hour

Next up is a tiles laying action card game: Saboteur

Lay tiles or sabotage your opponents to win! Boring game for me, no interaction nor fun factor. I would rate it as a bad choice of game for families or frends. GET CITADELS AND PLAY INSTEAD!

and finally...we ended our day with this stock market business-based boardgame called: Dividend

Insights as well as correct judgment of which stocks will rise or fall decides the very outcome of the results. U nvr know when your opponent will step ahead of you to grab the best stocks, forcing you to buy off the expensive stocks that's left on the board. A fun yet educating game for anyone intrested in money managment.

Thankfully someone bought some of my stuff and am really happy I'm still able to sell off my cards. haha

Yes! It's finally here. After witnessing an OS crash on my laptop, I knew troubles spells. but Never did I knew it took so long for it to come back for me to use!!! Thought about going to fix it by spending a few bucks but the IT technican were out to con me. DAMN U!

Long story cut short, went for servicing. Waited and waited until today. 2 long weeks.

2 long weeks indeed. But to me, it opened up a new perspective and direction in life. Things which u never thought about nor see. I experienced it after the 'loss' of my laptop. The importance of bondings between family and friends. Family bonding especially, I seriously lack of it when I spent most of my time facing my laptop than to them. I was rather happy being able to bond with them. Who doesn't?

I recall the last time I had a good chat with my father was in Primary school??? My god. Come to think of it, no wonder these years my relationship with my dad has been worsening. I guess it's time to savage the situation before it become worst. Well at least my relationship with my mum is good. At least better than my dad's.

Other than bonding session, reading, watching TV. I look for jobs coz' am too bored. Holiday are bored and yet relaxing(how contridicting....) so nothing to do is = rotting your precious time away. why not get a job or wat and make it useful. Found some, but turn out to be crappy. Great job! So these and that plus bad mood because of no usage of internet, makes me dun wanna go out. Ar well next time guys n gals. =D

Btw I gt myself a new phone. LG camera phone. Slim n trendy. Best is the 5 megapixels camera.

Decided to visit Settler's Cafe @ SMU, played our usual game Settler of Catan but this time round along with the expansion set Cities & Knights. Trouble comes when YS accidentally knock over his coke on the tiles and counters. o.O! Delayed several minutes before commencing on the game itself.

Today is Brenda's birthday and I forgot to gave her wishing at 12am. Crap. Luckily I looked at her blog this afternoon and quickly sent her a late sms wishing her Happy Birthday. Thank God she's not angry wif me since I promised to bake her exactly 19 chocalate cupcakes.

Shitty stuff happens when the cupcakes din turn out as perfect as it were, candles without the stands so we can't put candles on the cupcakes and we just sang the usual song for her. Wierd indeed. I think she minds,but that's the best we can do for her...eh could have done it better. Damn

But nevertheless, we did enjoy a day of fun playing Citadels n poker cards,watching some shows which I forget the name of it...

Boardgames has gotten in my life and I simply love it. Be it interactive or those draggy hours where it will wear ur minds off thinking what tricks your opponents will come up with. I just simply love them.

My first encounter with boardgames when I was rather small, hmm let's see 8 I suppose? I played typical boardgames whic are rather classic ( Monopoly, Risk, Upwords, Scrabble, Game of Life, MasterMind and chess of all type) I get to play these mostly with my parents and sometimes friends. Yound kids at that time play toys and some little electronics device (GameGear I bet u nvr heard of it, Gameboy, Digivice o.O, Beyblade, Tamiya and more...) and of course lots of cartoons(Pokemon,Digimons)

Well apparently after 12-13 years,things changed totally, people starts to get not as close to each other anymore...in a sense they bond electronically. Msn,facebook,yahoo,gmail,blog,friendster etc. Online, digital games bond them, not other things else. I bet teens would craze over end of Digital Age.

Well thank god there's entertainment which does not require the usage of digital stuff. Cards n board games. I simply love the both of them. People's 1st thought "Who the heck plays boardgames nowadays?" I'll reply, "I do, and millions of people around the people do". People gather in person to bond with each other so as to establish better relationship with each other as well as relax their mind will enjoying themselves in the world of that particular boardgame. That's what I call doing childhood stuff in Digital Age.

Oh ya, gonna try new things. Buy new phone such that I can film myself n post the video here.My current phone sucks n the contract is almost up. Great timing yeah!

Tml will be the day where the gatherings of both old n the young at our house for the celebration of post CNY. Well we did this gathering almost every single year except for the last year my family decided to skip it. But this year, its more ppl as we had a new neighbour and of course, new friends.

It will be a heck of preparation of food before anyone could enjoy the delicacies. Though that too and will be helping out in the process(if not my mum n dad will complain not helping out but eat n play onli...-.-)

Celebration in M'sia wif my cousins all were as lively as before. Am very lucky this year and I even tried out the game Murderer wif the cousins. Well they simply loved it haha.

Today's problem statement was not a surprise to me as I knew it from Hui Lee that it'll be creating a game for a family of young and old. First thought: "Cool..."

And so...game time! I was blinded folded and were tasked to find the target card. Poker card fyi. Confusing instructions made me confuse as in who to trust in heeding to. So failed la of course.lol

After the game, the faci was thanking us and the remaining of us played "Murderer". Now we know who sucks at winking eye. LOL

Finllay, the bloody damn flu has struck my body. Great....and ya, I'm typing while blowing my nose at the same time. Damnit.

Other than the flu which makes me moody abit, overall today was a rather entertaining day for me.

Today was a rather sleepy day for me. Din really have the energy to concentrate on anything that involves critical thinking. Guess what? Today's Maths. Sunday is always relaxing as well as boring...so decided to hang out at settler's cafe at NUS.

Teck, YS and me tried out the Cities & Knights and turn out to be rather addictive lol. Our game ended with the score:

After the games, we had the craziest idea of buying these boardgames and relax at someone's house during holidays or weekends instead of spending $$$ on settler or mind's cafe in order to play.Well maybe it's not a bad idea since it's a way to get bonded together and get entertained at the same time haha.

Well its another saturday afternoon of nothing-ness, staring infront of my laptop waiting for something "intresting" to happen. After weeks of nag by my friends and mum, finally gonna move my fat ass to get new stuff for the coming CNY. Clothes lah,Specs etc. Hmm...maybe some new IT stuff.lol
